A Nursery for children through age 3 is designed to be a warm and nurturing atmosphere to welcome the youngest members of God’s family.  The children enjoy a Bible story, craft, music, and snack during the Sunday School hour. (the nursery is currently unattended, as we search for a new christian education director, but can be made available if needed)

Sunday School for children K-6 years old currently meets during worship.

The Youth (grade 7-12) focus on more advanced Bible passages and their application to life. (they are currently meeting with the adult class)

An Adult Class meets each Sunday morning and now includes our youth.

Sunday School curriculum for children, youth, and adults:
Feasting on the Word Curriculum: Teaching the Revised Common Lectionary at KUPC –
Session approved and adopted the use of Sunday school curriculum Feasting on the Word for the young children (K-3) as well as adult / youth mixed Sunday School classes in the fall of 2014.  We have resources for each age level available through the summer of 2015. This curriculum teaches the Revised Common Lectionary in an ecumenical, downloadable resource that incorporates the uniqueness of the award-winning Feasting on the Word commentary to explore the lectionary passages in ways suitable for all participants. Each age level provides comprehensive, accessible biblical background for leaders.  This curriculum begins with a solid scriptural and theological base and invites leaders and learners deeper into the rhythm of the church year. It utilizes a common Bible passage for all learners, making it easy for families to learn and live out their faith together. Feasting on the Word Curriculum is the ideal resource for a church wanting a lectionary-based curriculum that provides intentional connections between education and worship.

The KUPC Youth Group is an opportunity for Middle School and Senior High Youth to gather for fellowship, service and growth.  A monthly schedule is published with opportunities for meetings and projects.  Outreach by the group includes outings, mission trips, retreats and community involvement.Outside the Church School Hour there are a wide range of educational opportunities available for children, youth and adults at KUPC.

The Women’s Bible Study meets weekly on Friday at 9:30am in the  Cleek Parlor at the church.  This group enjoys an intensive Bible study and fellowship time.  Their studies are varied and are selected by the group.

The Men’s Breakfast Group meets weekly at 8:00am at the Smoke House.  Lectionary readings are discussed over breakfast.
